The Beginning

Silver Lining was founded by Evert Kotzé, a first-year Business Management (ECP) student at Stellenbosch University.

 

Built alongside his studies, the brand reflects a deliberate decision to start early and build something meaningful from the ground up.

International Influence

Born in South Africa, Evert relocated to the UAE at an early age, spending four years in a global hub for fashion and emerging trends.

 

This exposure shaped his understanding of quality, fit, and design.

Returning to South Africa, he identified a clear gap: accessing that same standard of clothing locally often came at a premium price.

The Mission

Silver Lining was created to close that gap - delivering international-standard gym wear at a price that makes sense locally.

 

The focus remains on maintaining high quality, clean design, and a premium feel, comparable to brands like Gymshark and YoungLA, while remaining accessible.

The drop model

Products are released in time-based drops. There is no permanent stock and no repeated designs.

 

Once a drop ends, it is not restocked - allowing the brand to continuously evolve and introduce new concepts.

Exclusivity and Experience

Each drop is limited, ensuring that every piece remains unique to that release.

 

Customers are not just purchasing clothing, but becoming part of a specific moment within the brand.

Looking Forward

Silver Lining is still at the beginning. Built with a clear vision - to grow intentionally, innovate consistently, and redefine the standard of local clothing.
